Welcome Message

Welcome to the 4th Global Cancer Genomics Consortium (GCGC) where we aim to build an international collaborative platform between cancer biologists, cutting-edge genomics, and high-throughput expertise with medical oncologists and surgical oncologists. The key goal of this symposium is to address the most important translational questions that are central to cancer research and treatment.

Previous GCGC meetings have been held in Mumbai, India, and Lisbon Portugal. This is the first time to be hosted in Kyoto, Japan and we believe this presents us with an exciting and unique opportunity to expand upon previous knowledge gathered and grow further and faster the international collaborative efforts of the Consortium.

With this aim in mind we have carefully chosen the 4th GCGC theme; New Era of Molecular Medicine and Epigenetic Cancer Medicine; Cross Section of Genomics and Epigenetics. We feel this offers us a wonderful opportunity and gives ample scope to present to you a most meaningful and progressive symposium tackling head-on those important translational questions in cancer research and treatment.

It gives us great pleasure to welcome you to the 4th Global Cancer Genomics Consortium. We look forward to exchanging valuable information and ideas with you and work together to push further towards our noble goal.

Finally, we would like to express our most humble thanks to the Inoue Foundation for Science for their kind support of the 4th Global Cancer Genomics Consortium (GCGC). Without their generous help this symposium would not have been possible.
